Unity Football Team brought laurels to the College by winning the Lucknow Cup 7-A Side Football Tournament 2023 Under-14 Boys. The final match was played on 17th February. The tournament was organised by the District Football Association at La Martiniere College Polo ground,and sponsored by BYJU’S.

The winning team under the captaincy of Zainul Imam retained the unbeaten status throughout the tournament. In the semifinal match, it gave a crushing defeat to La Martiniere College by 3-0. Forging ahead to the finals, the boys presented a tough game to the opponent team of SarvajanikVidhyalay, Haidergarh, resulting in a tie-break. Finally, they were able to take the lead in the penalty shootout by 3-2, and brought home the coveted trophy. Abu Sufiyan was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper while Ali Nadeem, the Best Defender. 

Principal Mr. Francis Castelino congratulated the team on their clear victory. He also applauded their Coach and PTI Mr. Amir Ali and Assistant Coaches -Jafar Husain and Mohd Laraib, senior students of the College.

The sporting aura at Unity College got luminated as the Senior Lucknow Soccer Team U-19 supported by the College won the finals of Regional CISCE Football Tournament, while the Junior Lucknow Soccer Team U-14 was placed Runners Up at Agra.   
Unity College (Lucknow B) U-19 made a scintillating entry by registering the lead of one goal 4-3 in the penalty shootout against Ghaziabad in the league. Next day, the team forged ahead into the Semi-Final by defeating the Nainital Team 1-0.  With elevated spirit and zeal, the team went on to script victory in the Semi-Final against Uttarakhand 1-0. The final match with Lucknow Zone-B was also commendable. The team didn’t let its opponents make a single goal, giving a thrashing defeat by 6-0. The Lucknow-B team lifted the winning trophy after a keen contest.
Unity College (Lucknow B) U-14 entered the league with a promising performance as it pinned the rival teams to a zero score in all the initial matches. The first match against Meerut concluded in a 2-0 win. The second rival of Kanpur North too faced a thrashing defeat at zero against 5 goals. The winning team with spurring enthusiasm put up a great show in the Semi-Final against Nainital, and maintaining the string of fabulous victories, the team once again moved to victory by 2-0. The final match was full of fury and excitement as the rival teams of Lucknow Zone-B and Allahabad put up a great show of brilliant attacks and counter attacks. The match got tense for the College as the team couldn’t seal the victory and lost the trophy to the rivals by 2-1. 
Principal Mr. Francis Castelino appreciated the laudable show put up by the budding team, and felicitated them with the trophy, medals and certificates.
 

Ms. Adiba Zaidi, an Ex-Student of Unity College and 2011 Batch entered the Hall of Honour at the Northern Railway Operating Department, India. Principal Chief Operations Manager felicitated Ms. Zaidi with certificate and cash prize for her meritorious service during the year 2021-22 at National Rail museum in New Delhi on 5th August, 2022. 

Presently, she has been working in Indian Railways as a Sr. Station Master at KundanGanj. She also received plaudits and blessings from Principal Mr. Francis Castelino. Her commendable performance is an epitome of quality education and good grooming facilitated at Unity College. Indeed, she earned name and fame not only for herself but for the College as well.
 

Ms. Nilofer Jafri, ANO III Officer, was conferred with a trophy at the Felicitation Programme of R. D. Contingent for meticulously coordinating the NCC programme from 30th January to 3rd February, 2022. 

The award ceremony was held at St. Fidelis School to felicitate all the cadets of the UP Directorate who participated in the Republic Day Parade. The function included a string of colourful melodious cultural programmes. It kept the audience enthralled without a single dull moment. 

Chief Guest for the occasion was Additional Director General, Major General Rakesh Rana. He highly appreciated the commendable coordination of the ANOs in making the function a great success. Later, during the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the outstanding contributions of the ANOs were also acknowledged and honoured with Trophies.

As a part of 'Daan Utsav' and to contribute to sustainable development goals, Unity College in collaboration with Prithvi Innovations happily initiated 'NadiMahotsav' as a part of its ongoing Water Conservation project at Jhulelal Park on 17th December 2021. The participants of the project were the same 10 students and teachers who have been working on this project as a part of Daan Utsav.

The College joined the dots and created a wave of water conservation by engaging these participants from the College in 'NadiMahotsav' as a concern for saving Water- A lifeline for all.

 UNITY CLINCHES POPULAR CHOICE AWARD @ YAUM-E-IQBAL INAMI MUQABALA, BAZM-E-URDU, DUBAI

Students of Unity College participated in the Second International Ismat Competition and Welayat TV Drawing & Painting Competition and won laurels to the College by winning prizes at various levels.

On 12th November, 2021, Ms. Shipra Saxena- Senior Manager, Hope Initiative Group presented Tara Modi Educational Grant to Innama Jafri of class X (Science) and Tara Modi Laptop Award to Tatheer Zehra of class XII (Science). This magnanimous motivation will surely stimulate the students academic performance and ignite hope in distress.
