Unity College organised the Hindi Annual Programme on 5th November, 2022 with an aim of spreading awareness and the need for promoting our National Language, ‘Hindi’. The students participated in the programme with full fervour and excitement.
The programme commenced with the rendition of a Quranic verse by Farris Abrar followed by the recitation of a Shlok by Anamta Mirza and also the heart touching verses from the Holy Bible quoted by Adeeb Fatima.
The Chief Guest for the occasion,Mr. Surya Kumar Pandey, a renowned poet and author and the Guest of Honour, Mr. WajahatRizvi, retired Director of Information, UPwere heartily welcomed by the Principal, Mr. Francis Castelino through his welcome speech.
The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Song by the beautifulPre-Primary students. The Primary students spread happiness and filled everyone’s heartswith joy with their comic poems inthe ‘HasyaKaviSammelan’. The young Unitians of class VI to VIII presented a valuable skit ‘PanchParmeshwar’ byMunshiPremchand which presented the idea of putting justice above one’s own interest. Followed by the skit, the children of Secondary and Senior Secondary presented a song, ‘KitnaMushkil Hai’ through which they expressed their feelings about the freedom they want in their lives to fulfill their dreams.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Surya Kumar Pandey acknowledged the performances of the children and highlighted the importance of team efforts. He also spoke praising words in the remembrance ofJanab Dr. S. Kalbe Sadiq.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Wajahat Rizvi, praised the hard work and congratulated the students who came forward and give such a great performance.
The College Secretary, Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi appreciated the collaborative efforts of the teachers and the students and gave much importance to the need for arranging such programmes in the College.
