Collages and Paintings have been one of the most relevant forms of art making. They foster creative expression on one hand and provide avenues for relaxation on the other. Keeping this in mind, an Inter-House Painting and Collage Making Competition was held on 16th August, 2022 at Unity College, Lucknow for Secondary and Sr. Secondary students. Four participants from each House took part in the Competition. In Collage Making, the students were allowed to use various materials to create a collage on the theme ‘Vision for Free India’. The topic for the Painting Competition was ‘Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle’, wherein the young artists created their masterpieces with great enthusiasm and vigour.
Both these Competitions provided an enriching experience to the participants, who put forth their imagination creatively. The judges for the Competition – Ms. Waseem Fatima, Ms. Farida Rahat and Ms. UpasanaRastogi were overwhelmed seeing the artistic skills of students as they paid tribute to the indomitable spirit of our valiant martyrs and unsung heroes of the freedom struggle.
Iqbal House emerged victorious in both the competitions. Sir Syed House bagged the II position in Collage Making Competition whereas Tagore House stood II in the Painting Competition.
The III position was secured by Tagore House and Sir Syed House in Inter-House Collage Making and Painting Competition respectively.
