The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate andcommemorate 75 years of progressive India as well as its glorious history. The Mahotsav isdedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India to thepresent advanced state but also hold the power of a common man to visualise Prime Minister’svision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. The campaign focuses on a mammoth participation of commonmen to convert it into a ‘Janandolan’ with the prime objective to integrate small changes at locallevel into a great national gain.

Unity College joined the Postcard Campaign under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) on 16^thDecember, 2021. Classes IV to IX and XI expressed power pact emotions and visions on thetopics,‘Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle’ and ‘My Vision of India in 2047’. Each one got apostcard to transcript their heartfelt salute to the unknown national heroes who sacrificedthemselves for Free India, and also their vision of future India. Later, the best ten entries wereselected by the College and uploaded on the mygov.in portal. Indeed, the event struck the very cord of nationalism in students, besides providing a wideplatform for self-expression of envisioned thoughts.
