Eid-ul- Adha is a reminder of sacrificing our material possessions in the name of God. Celebrating multifarious cultures and festivals symbolizes the unity of international community, which Unity College takes pride in. To commemorate the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the Pre-Primary section at Unity College presented a variety of activities celebrating the spirit behind the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ on 12th July, 2022.
LN - The LN students outlined the significance of the festival through their imaginative minds by making beautiful rams and other Eid-ul- Adha symbols and decorative items out of various coloured chart papers, ice-cream sticks and other craft items. Some students made beautifully crafted raised hands for Dua.
UN - The foremost symbol of the day, the sheep needed to be honoured and this was achieved by the students of UN who made making beautiful sheep out of popsicle sticks, cotton etc.
PREP - The students of Prep celebrated the festival with religious fervour and enthusiasm by making lovely sheep out of theromocol plates. This free-flow creative activity encouraged the child's creative play.
The importance behind celebrating the festival and its religious implications was also explained by the Class Teachers.
It was a good initiative to acquaint them with its religious significance, history, stories and legends, as well as associated traditions and customs which encouraged them to follow the path of peace, love and friendship.
