World Health Day was observed with great enthusiasm in the Primary Section of Unity College by students of Classes I to V. The event aimed to instil awareness about healthy habits through a series of creative and meaningful activities, each thoughtfully curated for individual classes.
To commence the day’s activities, students of Class I focused on dental hygiene by illustrating two contrasting images—one of good dental health and another depicting poor dental care. Their drawings thoughtfully included items beneficial to oral health, as well as sugary treats such as candies and colas, highlighting their early understanding of oral hygiene.
Subsequently, Class II undertook an engaging task centered on dietary awareness. Students prepared two Thermocol plates—one featuring healthy food images and the other displaying unhealthy options. The contrast between the two served as a powerful visual message promoting the importance of balanced nutrition.
In continuation, Class III students created Health Day cards with dual themes: gratitude for the gift of good health and appreciation for healthcare workers. Their artistic expressions and heartfelt sentiments rendered the cards both meaningful and inspiring.
Class IV, in turn, contributed by designing campaigning collages aimed at raising awareness about health and hygiene. Combining impactful visuals with thoughtful slogans, the students demonstrated both creativity and concern for public well-being.
Concluding the series of activities, Class V students prepared World Health Day posters advocating simple yet effective lifestyle changes. Their mature approach and powerful messaging underscored the significance of valuing one’s health as a vital human asset.
The celebration not only reinforced the importance of healthy living but also showcased how knowledge, awareness, and creativity can become instrumental in inspiring positive change. The enthusiastic participation of students across all classes reflected their growing sense of responsibility towards personal and collective well-being.
