On October 21, 2024, the Pre-Primary Section of the College hosted a vibrant Orange Day celebration. The event aimed to familiarise young students with the colour orange, symbolising energy, creativity, and hope. The children, dressed in various shades of orange, participated in activities designed to ignite their imagination and enhance their understanding of the colour’s significance.
The festivities began with the students of Lower Nursery, who crafted orange juice glasses using orange sheets and green glitter paper for leaves. They added straws to complete their creative representation, fostering both fun and fine motor skills.
In Upper Nursery, the children crafted the letter 'T', representing the Tiger, India’s national animal. Using orange sheets, they designed tigers with googly eyes and black stripes made from glitter sheets, adding a playful yet educational touch to the activity.
Finally, the students of class Prep demonstrated their creativity by making paper carrots. They folded orange sheets into carrot shapes and attached green paper leaves, a simple yet engaging activity that introduced them to the world of craft.
The event successfully stimulated the children’s imagination while reinforcing their learning about the colour orange and its broader meanings. Through these hands-on activities, the students had a dynamic and enjoyable day, full of creativity and learning.
