FIRELESS COOKING: CULINARY MAGIC IN PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY

On August 31, 2024, the College transformed into a culinary haven as students from Pre-Primary to Primary Sections participated in a series of fireless cooking activities. The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and a dash of healthy competition.

 

Pre-Primary students had a blast in their classrooms, exploring the world of edible creations. Lower Nursery crafted tasty Traffic Lights, adorable Cat-Faced sandwiches, and creative Edible Faces. Upper Nursery was no less imaginative, crafting Snowman and Boat Sandwiches and enjoying Biscuit Chat. Prep showcased their culinary prowess with Monaco Cheesy Biscuits, Russian Sandwiches, and Quick Spicy Bites. Classes IV and V also joined in the fun, preparing Butterlicious Sweet Corn Delight and mouthwatering BhelPuri, respectively. These activities were conducted in the classroom setting, fostering teamwork and collaboration among students.

 

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Inter-House Fireless Cooking Competition for classes I to III, held in the Central Hall. The teams battled it out to create the most delicious and visually appealing sandwiches. The competition was fierce, with each house bringing their A-game to the table.

 

The event was graced by the presence of College Jt Secretary Dr M Talha, Principal Mr Deepak Mathews, Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti, and Headmistress Ms Kainaat Mansoor. Principal Mr Mathews& Vice Principal Mr Bharti judged the taste, creativity&hygieneof the sandwiches. College Jt Secretary Dr M Talha also tasted the sandwiches and commended the students for their efforts.

 

The winners were as follows:

 * 1st Place*: Tagore House

 * 2nd Place*: Sir Syed House

 * 3rd Place*: Iqbal House

 

The judges were impressed by the creativity, presentation, and taste of the sandwiches. Headmistress Ms Kainaat Mansoor praised the efforts of all participants, highlighting their dedication and culinary talents. The winning teams were felicitated with certificates, with Tagore House particularly commended for their exceptional teamwork and creativity.

 

Overall, the fireless cooking activities across all sections were a resounding success. Students showcased their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm, demonstrating that cooking can be both fun and educational. The event fostered a vibrant and collaborative learning environment, promoting practical skills and inspiring a love for healthy eating.
