The CISCE Regional Volleyball Tournament for Girls was recently hosted at Prayagraj Public School, drawing teams from various zones to compete at a high level. Representing Lucknow Zone B, the team featured two standout players from Unity College, Hadees Fatima and Khizran Zehra of Class XI-B, who played pivotal roles in securing the Runner-Up position.
The team displayed exceptional skill and determination, winning several matches as per the following results:
Lucknow Zone B vs Kanpur (South Zone): Victory with a score of 25-21.
Lucknow Zone B vs Gorakhpur: Victory with a score of 25-18.
Lucknow Zone B vsPrayagraj: Victory with a score of 25-17.
Semi-final: Lucknow Zone B vs Meerut: Hard-fought victory with a score of 25-22.
Final: Lucknow Zone B vs Lucknow Zone A: Narrow defeat with a margin of just 2 points.
Despite their narrow loss in the final, the team’s performance was commendable, showcasing their talent and teamwork throughout the tournament.
In recognition of their achievements, Principal Mr Deepak Mathews honoured the promising young athletes with certificates and medals during the morning assembly, celebrating their dedication and contribution to the school’s sporting excellence.
