The Pre-Primary Section of the College immersed itself in the spirit of Raksha Bandhan on August 20, 2024. A day brimming with creativity and enthusiasm, the festival was celebrated across different classes with a variety of engaging activities.
Lower Nursery students experienced the essence of Raksha Bandhan firsthand. Girls lovingly tied Rakhis on the wrists of their classmates, symbolising the protective bond between siblings. This simple gesture fostered a sense of camaraderie and friendship among the young learners.
In Upper Nursery, the focus was on artistic expression. Students embarked on a creative journey, crafting beautiful Diyas using paper folding and pasting techniques. Adorned with colourful embellishments, these Diyas were a testament to the children's burgeoning artistic abilities and their understanding of the festival's cultural significance.
Prep class students showcased their artistic flair by designing and decorating unique Rakhis. With a combination of bindis, stars, mirrors, and pearls, they created personalised Rakhis that reflected their creativity. Accompanying their handmade creations with beautifully crafted cards and chocolates, the students wholeheartedly embraced the festive spirit.
The Raksha Bandhan celebrations at the Pre-Primary Section were more than just activities; they were opportunities for young minds to connect with their cultural heritage while fostering a sense of joy and belonging.
