On 6th September, 2023, the Primary Section held a special assembly to commemorate Arba’een, the 40th Day of the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.), the Grandson of the Prophet (PBUH). The assembly was marked by a somber tone as students gathered to pay their respects to the martyrs of Karbala.
The assembly commenced with the recitation of Quranic verses and the pledge. S. Mohd Muntazir Zaidi, a student from class V, recited a poignant elegy that portrayed the deep sorrow and grief for the martyrs of Karbala, followed by an emotional elegy recited by students of class V, vividly portraying the tragedy of Karbala. The assembly concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem.
The Principal, Mr. Francis Castelino, urged students to follow the path of righteousness, emphasising values like love, perseverance, and helping others. The Headmistress, Ms. Kainaat Mansoor, stressed the significance of understanding the true meaning of sacrifice and patience as exemplified by Imam Hussain (A.S.) and encouraged students to practice patience, tolerance, and discipline in their daily lives.
This Arba’een assembly served as a poignant reminder of the values of sacrifice, empathy, patience, and moral strength, inspiring students to uphold these principles in their lives.
