On 2nd August, 2023, an informative webinar titled ‘Robotics and Artificial Intelligence’ was conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) at the ICSE level, which was attended by Primary and Secondary Section teachers of the College. The webinar highlighted the global significance and increasing popularity of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Coding. The Council announced that as a first step in this direction, aligned with NEP 2020, Robotics and AI will be formally introduced as subjects for classes IX and X in 2025, with future plans to integrate these subjects at the ISC level, along with Coding.

The distinguished experts highlighted the ubiquitous future of Robotics with wide career prospects, encouraging the teachers to be familiar with the curriculum and actively engage in practical experimentation before integrating these subjects into their teaching. It was informed that various national-level Robotics Meets have showcased the enthusiasm of students and the potential of Robotics and AI. The need for recognition of India’s technological accomplishments was stressed. The enriching webinar culminated with a presentation on ‘Robotics and AI Syllabus’ for classes IX and X, empowering the teachers for an enhanced educational experience.
