Unity College's May Day celebration was a resounding success, thanks to the presence of the distinguished Lt. General Zameer Uddin Shah. Lt. General Zameer Uddin Shah is a retired senior General of the Indian Army who served as the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff (Personnel & Systems). He is also a former Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University. Lt. Gen. Shah is a highly respected figure in the Indian Army and has been decorated with several honors, including the PVSM, SM, and VSM.
Addressing the students, Lt. Gen. Shah lauded the College and encouraged students to consider a career in the armed forces, stating that it would not only benefit them but also their families and communities. He advised students to pursue subjects they were interested in, and while emphasizing the importance of Mathematics, he stressed that Science was not the only career option available. He also advised the students to make time for games and enjoy their childhood, wishing them success and happiness in their future endeavors.
The class X students conducted the assembly in a flawless manner, starting with a soulful Tilawat by Fatima Rizvi, followed by the melodious College Tarana 'Unity College Se WabastaHamariShaan Hai,' which added to the sense of pride and aspirations of the event. Fathima Ahmad delivered an informative speech highlighting the significance of Labour Day and the importance of recognizing the achievements and contributions of the working class.
The splendid assembly came to a close amidst an atmosphere of high ambition, diligence, and success, leaving an indelible impression on all those present.
