A College Magazine unfolds a yearly review of all College events, annual progress made by the College in academics, cultural and sports activities to the College readers. The students and the teachers get a scope to exhibit their creative power through it. At the heart of it lies a close-knit team of student and teacher journalists. No doubt, it is a wonderful platform to refine their literary and artistic skills, and ultimately, uncover their voices.
The morning assembly of 13thDecember was glorified with the release of Unity College Annual Magazine 2020-21 dedicated to the Founder President Padma Bhushan Awardee Late Dr. S. Kalbe Sadiq. The sombre colour scheme and design amplified the theme. The pages covering Janab’s life story, testimonials of students and condolence notes mirror his noble vision and mission, commitments and reforms, accomplishments and impacts - all at a glance. Besides, it features students’ articles, short stories, essays, reports of College activities and an elaborate photo gallery providing glimpses of the scholastic and other activities.
Principal Mr. Francis Castelino congratulated the students whose articles and creations got featured in the magazine, and also the members of the Editorial Board for its successful editing and release. He exhorted the students to nurture the writer in them and voice their views via articles, poems, drawings and paintings for the next issue. He also paid a reverend homage to Dr. Sadiq, and motivated the students to carry forward his legacy by pursuing the College motto of ‘Excellence in Education’.
