The Fete is one of the most awaited events in the College calendar - full of fun and frolic, celebration and exhilaration, entertainment and refreshments - at the same time breaking the hectic, monotonous routine of academics and other co-curricular activities. Unity College held the Annual Fete on the bright, sunny day of 2nd February, 2023. The trendiest event was zealously organised by the staff and students of both morning and evening shifts.
The occasion was graced by a host of dignitaries- Dr. Sara Musavi, Mr. Ashik Abbas, Secretary Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi, Jt. Secretary Dr. M. Talha and Manager II Shift Dr. S. Kalbe Sibtain Noorie.
The event was flagged off by releasing the myriad coloured balloons to mark celebration and merriment. The College wore a colourful and vibrant look with a galore of festively decorated stalls, ranging from delicious snacks, food items, and fun games to rides and swings. The efficient management of the event was a testimony to the excellent teamwork and planning put in by the teachers and the office staff under the able guidance of Principal Mr. Francis Castelino. Rhythmic musical beats and promotional announcements made the day all the more special.
The event witnessed a blasting start. There was a lot of hustle and bustle which kept the teachers busy throughout the day. Some students were also seen extending a helping hand to the teachers in preparing the stalls. Children accompanied by their family members were delighted beyond words to visit the different stalls and buy their favourite food items or indulge in some entertaining games. They came in a holiday mood to loiter around the campus that turned into an interesting market for the day. The School dignitaries too visited the stalls to get a taste of the culinary skills of the educators.
As Unity always includes the humanitarian aspect in most of its activities, a part of the sale proceeds will be spent for the social cause.
The day culminated not only with a big return but also on a merry note with wonderful memories to cherish afterwards.
