As a part of 'Daan Utsav' and to contribute to sustainable development goals, Unity College in collaboration with Prithvi Innovations happily initiated 'NadiMahotsav' as a part of its ongoing Water Conservation project at Jhulelal Park on 17th December 2021. The participants of the project were the same 10 students and teachers who have been working on this project as a part of Daan Utsav.

The College joined the dots and created a wave of water conservation by engaging these participants from the College in 'NadiMahotsav' as a concern for saving Water- A lifeline for all.

The curtain raiser of the Utsav was a piece of soothing music with a warm up exercise. The Central Ground Water Board members and Department of Water Resources gave a speech on raising awareness on water conservation and helping people with innovative, practical green ideas and actions for protection of the environment.

 Some interesting Green ideas and Green actions that were part of this project were:
 • SHRAM DAAS (GARBAGE COLLECTION). The students were asked to collect the garbage from the nearby areas and put them in the trash bags. It was a major step towards a clean and clear future.

 • PLANTATION DRIVE
A tree sapling was planted on the ground to spread awareness on fast depleting natural resources and save the planet from deterioration.

 • GREETING CARD MAKING COMPETITION
These students also participated in a creative activity of card-making where they showcased their awareness about conserving nature through beautiful cards and innovative ideas.

 • QUIZ COMPETITION
A Quiz Competition based on different rivers was held in which 4 students won accolades and prizes.

 • EXTEMPORE
To imbibe a true spirit of learning, an Extempore Competition was also organised by the Foundation in which the participants had to speak on 'Protection of Environment' advocating for a greener environment and conservation of nature.

 • EXPERIMENTS CONDUCTED
Scientist Dr. Shrivastava, a member of the Ground Water Board conducted few experiments to test the portability of different water samples.

 • WATER PURIFIERS GIVEN TO WATER HEROES
As a part of Daan Utsav, Water purifiers were given to two Water Heroes of the College.

Through such Waste minimization initiatives, Unity College strives to create and mentor local through Green efforts like Green livelihood, a better Environment, better health through conscious Green Collaborations with different Foundations in line with 17 Global goals or SDGs and tries to make a whole lot of difference.
